Rok sa s rokom zišiel, čo znamená, že tu opäť máme nominácie na ceny Emmy. Tento ročník je tak trochu výnimočný, a to najmä pre Netflix. Prvýkrát v histórii sa mu totiž podarilo v počte celkových nominácií tromfnúť HBO.
Streamovaciemu gigantovi sa ich podarilo uchmatnúť až 112, zatiaľ čo HBO ich má "len" 108. Minulý rok pritom HBO dominovalo so 111 nomináciami a Netflix ich mal 91. V HBO však môžu byť spokojní, keďže ich seriál Game of Thrones získal najviac nominácií (22).
