gut interpretacia kendrickovej slohy
Kendrick tells a story of how he got visited by an alien (fame) that visited a Canadian the year before (Drake). and from fame women now love him, but he knows it's all fake and he doesn't like it, so he has a meeting with The Canadian (Drake) in Toronto where Drake explains he wants to work with him, but Kendrick feels he is being lied to again, (but he wasn't because he's on this album). They discuss the problem of the industry and how women are the taste makers for the mainstream industry, so watered down pop/R&B crossovers are how to sell according to the mainstream (not how Kendrick works. ex: "Keisha's Song" from Section.80). Then he says you can blame Mr. ovoxo (Drake) for contributing to this problem. Drake then tells him "You belong to the people when you go outside, so dig a shovel full of money, full of power, full of pussy, full of fame, And bury yourself alive" then Kendrick died, but its metaphorical in the fact of saying he didn't literally die, but he died in the sense of losing himself to vanity, a topic he touched on in the song "Vanity Slaves" from The Kendrick Lamar EP. the ironic part is because he understands the system and how it works he can find a deal where he has full creative control and avoid the fake mainstream way of doing things
